Ngā Puhi, born in 1969.
He graduated from the Rotorua Polytech with a diploma in Maori art and design in 1996, and he expects to complete a Masters of Visual Arts from the Whitecliffe College of Arts & Design in 2013.

He has taught in the department of Art and Design at Te Wananga o Aotearoa in Rotorua since 2002.

His work varies from the figurative to the abstract and generally he works in clay, specialising in the raku method of firing clay.

Figurative forms in his clay constructions often portray rituals – a form of storytelling that creates connections between present and past.

His abstract works are just as much a form of storytelling – as if they are utilitarian objects from another world or plane of existence.
